We are so excited for them and look forward to seeing more of the Bible get translated into LESCO in the future!

- Praise God for a safe return for Stuart, our translation consultant, from his work travels in July and early August, which included a trip to Kenya.

PRAY FOR OUR TEAM:

- Our team is going to Indianapolis Aug 22-25 to do community checks on 6 new translated passages. This is a required part of our process. Pray that we get great feedback from the Deaf community in Indianapolis to help us revise our translations to make them as clear and natural as possible.

- Various health issues and/or family issues have been popping up for our team members over the last couple months. In the past we have noticed that spiritual attacks often come in this form whenever we are getting close to completing a project. Pray for God to protect us as we do this work.

- Pray for 2025 funding for our team to continue doing ASL CBT translations. As always, there are several big challenges to navigate throughout the proposal process. Funding is never guaranteed, so we need your prayers for this! Pray for wisdom for the people who are writing the proposal and pray for our team to have peace and patience as we wait on God’s provision.

- Pray for our consultant Stuart and our consultant-in-training, Bobby, who are working alongside another consultant-in-training, Aris, as they work to complete an exegesis resource video this month. This is a challenging project that requires a lot of filming. Pray for strength, health, and wisdom for them all.

PRAY FOR OTHER DEAF TRANSLATION TEAMS:

- Pray for God to raise up more people who are interested in becoming sign language translation consultants, and for God to provide funding for them.

- Please continue to pray for the Ukrainian translation team and the Russian translation team. The continuing war between their countries makes it even more difficult to do the work that they do. Pray for God to protect these teams and to continue to provide for their translation work.

Thank you for praying with us!
The ASL CBT Translation Team:
Ron, RuthAnna, Tyler, Bobby, and Stuart

2024 DEAF LIFE CHURCH PRAYER REQUESTS:
-Sunday – 13 Deaf Life Church – Deafblind, Eau Claire, Iowa/Nebraska, Faribault, Long Island, NY, Rochester, MN, St. Cloud, St. Paul, Salt Lake City (Future), Ocala, FL Virginia Beach, VA, On-Line, and PVDA (Vimeo, YouTube, and Facebook Live Stream)
-Monday – Pastors, Lay Leaders, and their families
-Tuesday – Board Members, Leaders, Teachers, and Workers
-Wednesday – Financial Needs
Thursday – People’s Souls
-Friday – 17 Missionaries and 3 ministries
-Saturday – Protections: St. Paul’s Garage, Parsonage, Church Buildings, and Rooms at Hearing Churches

EOM (End of message)

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false
_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[1

post-1712","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
"1536x1536":"","2048x2048":"
["DLC
["GET
