We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season with your families.

- Our team leader’s wife is recovering slowly but surely from her open-heart surgery in November. She is currently doing physical & cardio therapy. Pray for continued recovery.

- Praise God that our team is able to do translation work this year under DOOR International! Our first task will be to complete the final draft of our ASL CBT translation of Jonah and get it approved, which we did this week! Praise God! We’ve been working on Jonah little by little for a long time, so it’s exciting to finally be able to complete it. We are now in the process of filming the “More Information” footnotes for Jonah. We hope to have the Jonah videos edited and ready to release by February for all of you to see!

PRAY FOR OUR TEAM:
- Long story short: Our team will be working under DOOR International, doing ASL CBT translations plus developing more resources for training deaf translation teams. Pray for DOOR International’s leaders, as there are still a few complicated details that need to be resolved in order to ensure everything (finances & logistics) will be in place for 2024.

- We hope to add at least one more translator to our translation team. Pray for God to provide and bring the right person for the job.

- One team member will be flying out on January 8th for a 3-week trip to a South Asia country (name withheld for security reasons), to join a survey team collecting data about sign languages in that country. Pray for a safe and successful trip for this survey team.

PRAY FOR OTHER DEAF TRANSLATION TEAMS:
- Please continue to pray for the Sign Langauge Translation Tool (SLTT), as they continue to figure out how to operate with the less-than-full funding they received for 2024. Many deaf teams rely on this program for drafting and getting video feedback, so it is crucial for SLTT to continue to grow to match the increasing need.

- Still no news about whether the Russian translation team will have funding to be able to continue working in 2024. Continue to pray for them to get funding.

Thank you for praying with us. God bless you, and Happy New Year!

The ASL CBT Translation Team
Ron, RuthAnna, Bobby, Tyler, and Stuart

2023 DEAF LIFE CHURCH DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS:
-Sunday – 12 Deaf Life Church – Deafblind, Eau Claire, Iowa/Nebraska, Faribault, Long Island, NY, Rochester, MN, St. Cloud, St. Paul, Salt Lake City (Future), Virginia Beach, VA, On-Line, and PVDA (ZOOM, Vimeo, and Facebook Live Stream)
-Monday – Pastors, Lay Leaders, and their families
-Tuesday – Board Members, Leaders, Teachers, and Workers
-Wednesday – Financial Needs
-Thursday – People’s Souls
-Friday – 14 AG US and World Missionaries
-Saturday – Protections: St. Paul’s Garage, Parsonage, Church Buildings, and Rooms at Hearing Churches

EOM (End of message)

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

1

post-497","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized
"1536x1536":"","2048x2048":"
["DLC
["GET
