Greetings from South Africa!

Dear Family and Friends,

I wanted to give you a quick update, as I’m sure you are curious about how things are going here in South Africa. By God’s grace, I’m doing very well! My body has finally adjusted to the environment and time zone, which took about a week. I’m also staying with Jody and his family, who have been such a blessing—warmly welcoming me and ensuring I’m cared for.

Before arriving in South Africa, Jody and I had an original plan, but God redirected us here to Cape Town. We were supposed to go to Pretoria to work with a married couple, yet God led us differently. This reminds me of Acts 16, where Paul and Silas were guided by the Spirit in ways they didn’t expect—but God’s plans are always perfect. I’m excited to trust Him as He opens the doors He wants us to walk through. It feels a bit like navigating a maze—seeking Him, learning His ways, and trusting Him to lead me step by step, knowing that every turn is part of His greater purpose. I’ll share more in the next newsletter. In the meantime, I’ve been slowly developing relationships with Deaf South Africans in Cape Town, which, as you know, takes time and patience.
I’m also grateful to share that I’m officially serving with YWAM Deaf World in Pennsylvania, alongside leaders Dan and Carole, who have a heart for training Deaf missionaries. They’re keeping in touch with me while I serve in South Africa, praying together for wisdom and ensuring I’m led by the Holy Spirit. I’m deeply thankful to God for providing them as spiritual covering, accountability, and guidance in this journey.
