The Fourth of July is just around the corner!
The Fourth of July – also known as Independence Day – has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941, but the tradition of Independence Day celebrations goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution. On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence.
From 1776 to the present day, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence.

PRAISE & BLESSING REPORTS:
-EKD’s 4 bypass heart surgery successful – PTL!
-EKD received many visitors, including friends from AGWM and the Deaf Community.
–A Pastor who married EKD/CD in Rochester, NY 46 years ago, came to visit. He lives in Springfield, is now 83 and looks great!
–A missionary family helped CD organize her home to set up the guest room, fix the dining room table, and assemble EKD’s computer/desk.
–EKD got poison ivy from cutting branches in the backyard of the new home. Thanks to the previous owner who came to dispose all the old poison ivy branches.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
-EKD is doing better
-Dr took out his tubes from heart surgery and removed the band-aids
-CD is still unpacking boxes and organizing their home
-EKD/CD’s home got a new roof – PTL!
-Many visitors still seeing EKD

-EKD really appreciated having 2 Christian Interpreters
-Possibly go home on Friday – Continue to pray for Dr’s wisdom regarding EKD’s recovery
-Skin graft from EKD’s leg to heart – leg needs to heal.
-Pray for EKD’s recovery for next 2 to 3 months
-Pray for God’s plans for EKD/CD/Josiah
-Pray for God’s wisdom and plans to bring the rest of the stuff from MN home to MO home.
