Hello Family and Friends,
I wanted to share something beautiful that God has been doing through art.
During recent worship nights and at the Expos, I had the opportunity to paint live as a form of worship—asking God what He wanted to speak to people. I witnessed how the Holy Spirit touched hearts through the paintings in ways that words alone couldn’t.
Before I share more, I’ll soon return to Texas for a short break and then help with a very exciting YWAM opportunity: Bonfire—a program that has been running for a few years, but this summer will mark the very first time they are opening their doors to Deaf and CODA youth! This is a historic moment, as it's the first time Deaf participants will be included. Bonfire is designed for high schoolers to learn about God and get a taste of missions—like a mini-DTS. It will run from July 5th to 27th.
The first two weeks will include teachings about God, small groups, worship, fun outdoor activities, and mentoring. The final week will be a road trip to Mexico! I’ll be joining the team as a staff member to help create a safe space and build bridges between the hearing and Deaf communities. I’m so excited for what’s ahead!
Would you please keep me in prayer during this transition?
Here are a few specific requests:
- For safe travel as I return to Texas this Sunday.
- For a time of deep rest and reflection, so I can process all that I’ve learned and better understand what God is showing me about my calling (I’ll explain more about that later).
- For God’s help as I prepare for what’s next, especially stepping into Bonfire and helping Deaf and CODA youth encounter Jesus.
You will find a PDF attachment to this email titled “When God Breathes Through My Brush: Painting His Presence.” It shares the stories behind the recent paintings God led me to create and how He used them to touch hearts in ways I never expected. I hope it encourages you as much as it encouraged those who were present.
Now, let me tell you how God has been using my hands to reflect His heart.
