A Heart Divided
The first four months back in the States have been a blur. We’ve seen a lot of important people (though still have family we’ve yet to be able to visit to this point). We’ve done some of our favorite, special things and eaten some of our favorite foods. We’ve de-stressed from some of the things we went through over the last term on the field (like long gas lines, etc.). And we’ve hit the ground running with itineration. As of this writing we’ve had 91 services, appointments or events where we’ve had the opportunity to share or network. That’s 4 months, and we started off slow. 83 of those have been since February 1st. And we’ve driven over 17,000 miles for itineration (not counting personal errands and trips). Polly was recognized and her calling affirmed through ordination at the New Jersey Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God’s annual Summit! It’s been a whirlwind to say the least.
So after getting into that groove, we had a chance to step (mostly) away from itineration last week and attend ChildHope meetings in Panama. It was so exciting to hear what God is doing in the 20 countries where ChildHope serves and to strategize and plan for the future of the ministry. And it reminded us once again why we’re in the U.S. We’re here to raise the prayer and financial partners to keep going in ChildHope and Deaf ministry and in whatever other ministry opportunities God gives us. So we take this time this year to build up the resources so we can move forward and see where God will take these ministries moving forward.
We love our time here. And yet, we’re also excited to go back to do what God has called us to do. We have a heart that is divided. So we continue to walk in what is before us while we also dream for what lies ahead!
Would you please continue to pray for a fruitful season in the U.S. of building up these partnerships? And would you dream and pray for the future of what God has in store for us in Bolivia?!

Itineration
As mentioned, we have been blessed to have connected with many churches and individuals since we’ve been back. And a number of those churches have decided to partner with us through prayer and monthly finances, have increased their pre-existing monthly financial support and/or have helped us with a one-time offering.
A number of others are still prayerfully considering that possibility. We still need to raise a minimum of $700/mo in support (though hopefully more considering the cost of the Deaf lunch and such which is not currently in the budget) and a minimum of $30,000 in one-time donations (though again preferably more considering all the work set before us and the need to extend this term to 5 years). The point is that need still exists. Would you consider if you might be part of the team?
