Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I felt truly honored to share God’s Word with you at Deaf Life Church. It was so sweet to see familiar faces and meet new ones. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly.
Many of you asked for an update about the mailbox story I shared—about our hearts being aligned with Christ’s keyhole from the sermon “All is His”, last Sunday, April 12.
Here’s what happened: the apartment manager confirmed that my mailbox was the sixth, not the fourth. I returned home on Tuesday evening and tried the key, it opened immediately. Praise the Lord! (Image transcript below: Kevi shows a joyful expression while holding several pieces of mail taken from an open mailbox.)

It made me reflect. In a simple way, it felt like a parable—before, I kept trying the wrong mailbox, but it was clearly blocked, representing my own desires and plans. But when I surrendered to God and sought the Holy Spirit—like the “apartment manager”—He pointed me to the truth, guided me into God’s plan, and led me to the right one when I was willing to listen.
This connects to my own life. I wanted to return to a missions organization I worked with before, but it wasn’t God’s plan. When I surrendered that desire, He opened the right “mailbox” with DOOR International, where I recently stepped into a new ministry role. If I hadn’t surrendered, I might have missed it.
This simple story reminds me: when we let go of our way, God faithfully leads us to His way.
So I want to leave you with this: All is His. Our lives, hearts, and work belong to Him. Keep your hands open—don’t hold tightly to things that can take His place.
Let go, trust Him, and run the race with freedom without anything slowing us down. He is faithful to guide you to what is right.
With gratitude and love in Christ,
Kevi Humphrey
