, for twenty-two years, I’ve served as a missionary to those who experience sexual trauma. God has done AMAZING things around the world — thank you for your faithful and unwavering partnership! I’m so grateful for every opportunity the Lord has opened. As I continue my life-long calling for the Lord in AGWM, I’ve got an update… some exciting changes are coming in my assignment!!!
I now have the privilege to be an AGWM care team member, dedicated to nurturing connection, resilience, and soul care for our missionaries serving throughout Latin America and the Caribbean (AGWM I LAC).
In this role, my focus will be to strengthening the well-being of our missionaries through holistic and ongoing support. This includes spiritual nourishment, emotional encouragement, helping to foster strong team connections, and providing professional mental health resources. Recognizing the unique challenges of cross-cultural ministry—such as stress, resilience, and personal adaptation—our approach centers on caring for the whole person, both body and soul. Often missionaries experienced traumas and crisis while on the field, and deserve someone who specializes in trauma to be part of the healing journey.
Our team places special emphasize on the importance of building meaningful connections across every stage of a missionary’s journey—from initial training and deployment to re-entry or retirement. Being part of this team means being committed to creating environments where missionaries can flourish—not just survive—amidst the demanding realities of their calling. This involves proactive strategies, ongoing coaching, and support systems that enhance resilience and spiritual strength.
The LAC region of AGWM has approximately 587 missionaries… and I’m honored to serve my fellow missionaries!

This itineration has been unusual. Crazy. The craziness… a car wreck, traction, fall down a flight of 19 stairs, and a traumatic brain injury—so grateful for my recovery! It’s been a long season. I am so ready to get back to the field!
