Mike & Polly Brown – Missionaries to Bolivia
Reaching the marginalized, outcast, and forgotten kids, youth and their families with the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Like cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.” Proverbs 25:25 (ESV)
Hit the Pause Button
I (Mike) remember having to plan to watch certain shows and sporting events as a kid. DVR’s and On-demand were a long way off still. You either watched it when it was on or missed it. Nowadays it’s so different. I can be watching a game and then just hit the pause button while I do something and come back and pick up where I left off when I’m free again. In some ways, missions life is kind of like that.
For those who may have missed it, we returned to the U.S. on January 6th. Genevieve and I flew to North Dakota to pick up the van we’re leasing this year (from a ministry that leases it for only $3/day!) and drove it back to Pennsylvania to the house we’re renting this year (from a ministry that rents way cheaper than we could find elsewhere, with utilities included!) just outside of Scranton. We visited some churches, partners, and friends along the way, kicking off the itineration schedule. Our first Sunday was meant to be January 25th in Elmshurst, PA, but the snow interrupted that plan. Polly and I pre-recorded our sharing about the ministry and I pre-recorded the sermon. And so it begins.
While we are busy visiting churches in the U.S. throughout 2026, life continues in Bolivia, as do most of the ministries we’re involved with there. Some ministries move forward under the national leaders of those ministries, while others require we stay more involved. But, sadly, our Deaf ministry has had to be put on pause. There was nobody to take it over for us yet. So, the kids from the local school will not have those Bible lessons from Polly each week. It reminds us of the great need and motivates us to return in 2027 with a fresh vision and healthy budget.
Would you please pray for us to have a fruitful ministry season in the U.S.? That we would have traveling mercies, favorable services and sharing opportunities, and for opportunities to minister to those we encounter along the way? Would you also please pray for the ministries that continue in Bolivia and for the Deaf ministry that has had to be put on pause?

Itineration Schedule: February 2026
February is our launch into our full-time itineration schedule. We will be busy traveling to share in different capacities, whether in church services or through meals & coffees. And this month finds us mainly in New England. New England in February…what could possibly go wrong? Would you please pray for favor with weather as we have so much planned on the schedule? And for safety as we travel around in the winter?
