Hello everyone!
The Deaf Teen Live (DTL) team would like to reach out and communicate some exciting changes in this ministry. Last November, Liz Martin welcomed her fourth child into her family and decided to step down from her role leading the local DTL ministry here in MN. With Liz stepping down, the team spent time in prayer, asking God for guidance. Nathan Sorenson decided to step into the role of point person for MN DTL. He is committed to leading as an interim director until August 2026 and will reevaluate continuing the role after the summer.
We are looking for ways to grow our ministry by enlisting the community’s involvement and support in nurturing Deaf teens to develop a deep personal relationship with God.
Hence this email, we want to invite you with the opportunity to join the Community Support Team (CST). The CST will be supporting DTL leaders from behind the scenes. Some examples of how you can serve include praying for leaders and teens, promoting DTL events, providing transportation for teens, and more. Attached to this email is a full description and list of responsibilities and commitments.
Since this role is volunteer only, your commitments are minimal and you can choose to serve only when/what you can. Those who want to join will need to pay a $25 fee to go through a background check for the teens’ safety.
If you are interested, please respond to this email AND indicate which role you are most interested in serving.
Reach out with any questions and we would love to connect with you!
Together in Christ,
The DTL Team
Nathan, Trung, Alisa, and Hannah
